Day One Hundred and Forty-Seven
I was one of the few hyped-up Capetonians that attended the Linkin Park concert (blog found HERE) and one of the many fans who heard about the scaffolding collapse onto 20 other fans, who were standing outside, waiting for the event to kick-off.
There were 19 people in total who were injured, 12 of these required hospitalisation and 1 was unfortunately killed (no name or age has been released as yet).

This incident got me thinking, again (like I have on so many other occasions) that life truly can be taken away from you at any moment and that we need to move forward with this knowledge - not forget it.
We need to cherish every moment that we are gifted to wake up in the morning, gifted to breathe, gifted to walk, to get dressed, to hear, to see, to taste, to sing, to move, to feel, to be given many of life's lessons (hard and easy ones) - we have been given these gifts which we hold onto only for a moment before we give this gift back.
Are you prepared for death?
Do you think about it?
Are you scared of death?
What would you do/change today if you knew you were going to die?
What would your last meal be?
What would your last outfit be?
I'm not saying that we should stress over something that is out of our control, but what I am saying is that perhaps we should be more aware of the gift we are given.
It could have been you waiting to watch your fav band perform live and it could have been you rushed to the hospital and it could have been your time to return the gift of life back into the Father's hands that once gave it to you.
Be aware that you are here now, on this Thursday and you have an opportunity in front you. Grasp hold of this day and know, that you have been gifted.
