Day One Hundred and Thirty-Two

Is it a bad thing to act 'so tough'?
Is it a good thing to act 'so tough'?

Where is the line between acting tough and wearing the war paint on your face in order to help you get through a situation, a day, a week or even your entire life.

There are so many people out there who 'act tough' and yes, I am one of them. I'm a part of the group that needs to act tough in order to overcome obstacles and continue to find the reason to exist, to continue to find the positive, the motivation. To find the reason to continue to live out the life that was planned for me.

The sad thing is, that there are people out there who use the term 'acting tough' not to save themselves by fighting the negative out of their lives, but instead they use this term to turn into the very person they say they don't like. I don't believe these people even realize that they are acting like this. That they are turning into the person that they 'pretend' to hate.

At what point do these people need someone to intervene so they can see there are two sides to the term 'acting tough'.

If it's now, let me clear it up for you.

Acting tough

  1. To fight against the negative so that you can protect yourself from everything that hurts you, so you can better yourself. So you can survive, so you can fill your life with positive energy and people in order for you to find the reasons that are out there every day for you to live, to breathe, to love, to be.
  2. To hold onto the negative, so that you can protect yourself from everything that hurts you, so you can harden yourself. So you can survive, so you can fill your life with numbness and routine in order for you to find the reasons that are out there every day for you to be dead, to not feel, to not love, to just be.

Maybe it's time that these people woke up and realized which definition to this term they have become. I know which one I'm living by and I'm proud of MY choice.
