Day Sixty-Four

Perhaps this blog post isn't about something heart-warming that gave me goosebumps, made me smile or even about something that made me feel alive.

It's a blog post about finding a sprinkle of hope and belief based upon life, journey, suffering, selfishness, pain and death.

It's a blog post about holding onto the soul or memory of that person and knowing that, though you cannot see them, it does not mean you cannot speak to them and allow them to guide you as they see fit. As the creator sees fit.

It's about believing that there is more even when the thorns on your path have led you to question your belief and the soil in which you stood firmly planted in your faith has run dry and crumbled.

And possibly, more importantly, it's about knowing that even though you are surrounded by friends, family and loved ones, you are still alone. Sometimes more alone than you would be sitting in a deserted room. It's about knowing that no matter how alone you really are, how lost, there is always a way to never feel alone.

Sometimes we need to pick up a pen and re-live our memories , not for the pain of remembering, but rather for the joy of learning new lessons from the old.

And sometimes, it is about learning to meet YOU.The person you never acknowledge in the morning, the person you always take for granted, the person who knows you so well that they can lift you up when you're down or allow you to have fun by lighting the flame to your passion.

Believe.

Hope.
