Day Thirteen

When one is at a stage in their life and they are owned by a specific friendship group, it is in that stage where one does not see themselves as anything other than what they are right then or as being owned by any other friendship group.

Life goes on. It passes through the stages of seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years e.t.c and through this time we are blessed with different stages of our lives in which we grow and develope to be someone different, someone better. We grow to either keep, extend, lose or re-find the friends that own us.
It took me four years to find the friend who then owned a care-free, bright pink haired girl, called Nikita... Me!

The memories of that stage are vibrant in my mind and I still see the younger versions of us in the glint of her eyes, the naughty smile or even in the secrets that are still shared.

It is worth holding on.

Hold on, so that in 5, 10, 15 years, you can look back at this stage, where you are, right now and appreciate it with matured eyes.

Hold on so you can look back and appreciate, perhaps even, like me, re-discover that life has its stages and we make it through these stages, with the friends who will forever own a piece of our hearts.

"Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends."
Richard Bach
